With the government releasing its roadmap to recovery, TiggyWinkles Nursery is now offering new places to parents looking for childcare, for children between six weeks and five years old.
Located within Pegasus School in the Castle Vale area of Birmingham, TiggyWinkles is a day nursery offering high quality childcare to the local community and surrounding areas.
The nursery is staffed by a highly qualified team including a manager, a deputy and a number of nursery nurses who care for the children. The manager and deputy Manager both hold BA Honours degrees in Integrated Working with Children and Families.
The nursery has recently become a ‘Millie’s Mark’ accredited setting. This national recognition is awarded by the National Day Nurseries Association in collaboration with the Department for Education and Millie’s Trust. It means that the nursery goes above and beyond the minimum requirements in paediatric first aid, with all staff trained in paediatric first aid and robust processes and documents in place to keep children safe.
Emma Stroud, Nursery Manager at TigglyWinkles said:
We have spaces available and welcome parents or carers approaching us to find out more about our warm, child-friendly environment and learn how we nurture children to become happy, confident and resilient individuals.
Children enjoy indoor and outdoor space and the nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Open from 7.30 am – 6 pm, children who stay all day enjoy nine different types of fruit and vegetables to ensure a well-balanced diet.
The nursery provides 15 hours of funded childcare for two year olds in line with the EEE Government Funding (if criteria are met), and 15 or 30 hours funded childcare for three-four year olds is available to all parents.
