For young people, we understand that starting a journey into adulthood can be a difficult and daunting period. By presenting an accessible guidance service within schools, we can provide a platform to support students’ progression into the world of work. Our team offer an open environment to find out more about individuals’ aspirations, introduce them to a range of options available and breakdown the steps involved to achieve this. This can involve making students aware of open days at colleges, inviting professionals to attend career days to discuss their experiences, introducing pupils to employed life through work experience placements, and much more.
Throughout this service, we work with both Key Stage 4 and 5 pupils to plan their career paths in accordance with the Gatsby Benchmarks. This includes identifying pathways that best suits the pupil’s requirements such as routes into higher education, training, apprenticeships and/or employment.
Our team are dedicated to unlocking the potential of every student while upholding the highest standards of practice in line with the principles of the CDI’s Code of Ethics. This has resulted in a high conversion rate of pupils entering into further education and/or careers.
