We operate an education and awareness programme on knife crime and youth violence in North Birmingham, called Cul-De-Sac.

With the rise in knife crime in recent years, we are determined to work within our communities to reduce the risk of youth violence. By educating young people to make informed choices, we hope to create an open environment where individuals don’t feel targeted, but instead empower them to make their own life choices.

Through weekly sessions, follow-on services and optional one to one mentoring; Cul-De-Sac explores the reasons why young people may carry weapons and offers positive activities as an alternate pathway. This community initiative gives a grounding in the law around knife crime and encourages awareness of the risks & consequences.

Funded through West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioners, our programme is delivered through a number of locations including The Sanctuary in Castle Vale, school and community events, and are always open to new opportunities.
